Kino Ylläs – Films under the sky is a film culture event held in the autumn in Ylläs. The event is organized by the Film Club “NaSa” Heroes of the Arctic Circle in cooperation with Metsähallitus Nature Center Kellokkas. The event is traditionally held indoors at Kellokas and the open-air theater, the “Ihmisen Rinki”. “Ihmisen Rinki” is an atmospheric open-air theater with about 700 seats, located below the parking lots on the Äkäslompolo ski resort. “Ihmisen Rinki” is located at Tunturitie 56, 95970 Äkäslompolo.

Watching a movie on a dark autumn bridge by the mountain is an incredibly great experience. It is good to dress warmly for a cool autumn evening and night. Quilted suits, sleeping bags and sled overalls are not exaggerated at all. In case of rain, get raincoats.

Nature’s own effects bring a unique atmosphere to the shows. In clear weather, you can admire thousands of stars and even the flare of the northern lights in the sky during the film. On the other hand, wind hum and even snowfall have been experienced. Everything is possible, everything has been experienced, but no screen has had to be canceled due to the weather.

The café serves in the evening shows until the beginning of the night shows. Snacks are available, both salty and sweet, as well as, of course, drinks such as coffee, tea and soft drinks. The café has A rights.
